THE FRESHEST KIDS
Colectia serilor de film continua in Moszkva de aceasta data prin documentarul Freshest Kids. Subtitlul „O istorie a originalului dans hip-hop” nu poate fi mai clar decat atat. Luand fiinta in anii ’70 la petrecerile Hip Hop organizate acasa la Kool DJ Herc si prinzand radacini mediatice americane in anii ’80 (prin termeni precum breakdance), b-boying-ul a ajuns dupa anii ’90 un fenomen international, in special in tarile capitaliste ale Europei si Asiei.
Pentru ca fenomenul a generat o alta turnura si alte denumiri generice din partea mass-media odata cu sentimentul globalizarii, figurile legendare si emblematice aparute in acest film fac o incursiune in timp in lumea autentica a celor ce se intituleaza b-boy/b-girl. Sund prezentate interviuri exclusive cu pionieri trecuti de 40-50 de ani precum: Kool DJ Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Crazy Legs, Ken Swift, Spy (omul cu 1000 de miscari), Mr. Wiggles, New York City Breakers, Styelements, Fab 5 Freddy, Mos Def, KRS-One etc.
Acest film este asadar, un „must see” pentru orice amator al dansului urban contemporan, dar si o istorie a unui sentiment mereu tanar, expus stilistic prin intermediul miscarilor ritmate si al dansului.
Ce este URBAL?
Proiectul URBAL a fost initiat de AIV impreuna cu voluntari locali (GRAFFORMERS si H2O) si cu 4 voluntari din Letonia, Lituania, Franta si Polonia sositi prin Serviciul European de Voluntariat, cu scopul de a descoperi impreuna valentele culturii urbane contemporane.
Conceptul a pornit de la cateva intrebari: Ce este cultura urbana? Cum se manifesta ea astazi si care a fost evolutia ei in timp? Care sunt modurile de manifestare ale culturii urbane – diferente vs. similaritati intre Romania si alte tari din Uniunea Europeana?
Astfel, prin URBAL, invitam comunitatea oradeana la o incursiune in propriul spatiu urban, la o analiza a modurilor de manifestare cultural artistice din orasul nostru.
Pe parcursul acestei veri vom descoperi impreuna arta stradala, teatrul experimental, precum si ateliere sau expozitii de fotografie.
*GRAFFORMERS si H2O sunt emblemele sub care se regasesc mai multi artisti graffiti, b-boy, DJ si activisti Hip Hop oradeni. Principalul scop al acestora este de a pastra si distribui tinerelor generatii elementele din cadrul original al formarii culturii Hip Hop universale.

The movie night colection continues in Moszkva this time with the documentary Freshest Kids.
The subtitle „A History of the original hip-hop dance” can not be clearer than that. Being founded in the `70s at the Hip Hop parties held at home by Kool DJ Herc and
and catching roots in ’80s American media (with terms such as breakdance),
B-Boying has grown after the `90s to be a global phenomenon, especially in capitalist countries of Europe and Asia.
Because the phenomenon generated another twist and other generic names from the media with the globalization sentiment, legendary and iconic figures appeared in the film while making a foray into the world of those who are called authentic b-boy/b-girl . There are presented exclusive interviews with pioneers older than 45 years such as Kool DJ Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, CrazyLegs, Ken Swift, Spy (the man with 1000 moves), Mr. Wiggles, New York City Breakers,Styelements, Fab 5 Freddy, Mos Def, KRS-One etc.
This film is therefore a „must see” for any lover of contemporary urban dance, but also a history of the spirit always young, exposed through stylistic and rhythmic movements of dance.
What is URBAL?
URBAL project was initiated by AIV with foreign and local volunteers in order to discover valences of contemporary urban culture.
The concept started with a few questions: What is urban culture? What are it`s manifestations today and that was its evolution over time? What are the ways of expression of urban culture – differences vs. similarities between Romania and other EU countries?
Thus, URBAL, invites the community of Oradea to a foray into urban space, to an analysis of modes of cultural arts in our city.
During the summer we will discover together street art, experimental theater and photography exhibitions.
* GRAFFORMERS and H2O are emblems that represent many graffiti artists, b-boy, DJ and Hip Hop activists of Oradea. Their main purpose is to keep and share with he younger generations elements from the original formation of the Hip Hop universal culture.
